What is behind the desk?
I am going to show you all my favorite, inspiring bloggers & their desks. Sounds silly but you'd be surprised about how many people WANT to see where all the magic happens. Well, I am going to show you. This week I have featured the totally cool Kory Woodward - Brand Strategist & Head Blogger at Korywoodward.com. I found / met Kory on Twitter and I got to do a guest blog with her. You can check it out here >>. I have been reading Kory's blog since August and it keeps getting better!!
Who is Kory?
Kory is a true freelancer. She started her business in 2012 and now has helped coach and brand over 72 women. I really enjoy read Kory's blog, more specifically I love to see what she is working on. I love to see her mood boards and her latest branding designs. Some of my favorite stuff from Kory is her October Desk Wallpaper, this one mood board - turned into a brand, and her E-book Craft your Brand -which is a DIY to branding. When she is away from her home away from home (her blog), she enjoys playing with her dogs, drinking tea and decorating her house.
1. What are three items on your desk you can't go without?
Simplified Planner: I write down everything here - from my to-do’s, notes on my husband’s schedule, and dinner, my giant water bottle, and on the rare occasion Zoey (the puppy) let’s me actually work from my desk, I have to have both my iMac + MBA so I can use the Air to play Netflix while I work on the iMac.
2. If I could steal something from your desk to help me with my blog, what would I take?
Either my computer(s) or my cloud external drive. Between the two, I have everything I’ve ever created, what inspires me, and what I want to work on.
3. MAC or PC?
Mac. I bought my first Macbook in 2010, and I’ll never look back.
4. What's the last song you listened to?
He Loves You Not by Dream. I woke up this week with it stuck in my head even though there’s no telling when the last time I heard it was. To help unstick it, I figured I’d listen to it :)
5. Organized? Or Organized Hot Mess?
A little bit of both. I’m a little OCD (my husband would probably say a lot), so I tend to regularly organize things, but I definitely accept the hot mess for a while and then clean up regularly.
6. What book would you suggest everyone read?
Probably #GIRLBOSS because it’s super inspiring, regardless of if you’re in the fashion industry or not.
7. What your spirit animal?
A puppy! I tend to have these random spurts of crazy energy where I either get a lot done or run around the house being silly with Zoey and / or my husband, but literally minutes later I could be napping.
